He has enjoyed a career in leadership roles in both the for-profit and for-purpose sectors. Until recently he was CEO for ChildFund New Zealand and held several governance roles in international development. Recently he has been helping the humanitarian sector to scope and build an innovative collaborative rapid response platform known as Emergency Alliance.
Before moving into the for-purpose sector, Paul worked in management roles in the automotive industry and financial services.
Paul has a particular interest in impact measurement, performance measurement of for-purpose organisations, and how transformative thinking can help businesses stay relevant, sustainable and impactful. Much of his work has been at the intersection of the social sector with purpose-driven corporations.
Paul serves on several boards including Independent Living Charitable Trust and Stephenson and Turner New Zealand Limited.
Paul’s holds a Bachelor of Civil Engineering, and a Masters in Business Administration. He has also completed executive development programmes at leading business schools in USA and Switzerland.
He is a member of the Institute of Directors and member and graduate of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
